August 5, 2026 — Why I made “all I need is you (VIP)” as a DJ transition tool
The original all I need is you, my collaboration with Fulminate, is melodic house with emotional vocals. I loved the song, but I also wanted a version I could use for a specific job in my DJ sets: moving between house and drum & bass without making the transition feel disconnected.
House and drum & bass have very different rhythmic languages. House is built around a four-on-the-floor kick and a steadier club pulse. Drum & bass runs much faster, with break-driven drums, urgent momentum and a different relationship between the beat and the bassline. Switching between them can feel like a hard change in speed and energy.
The VIP gives me a musical bridge. It keeps the melody and recognizable vocals from the original collaboration, but the beat, tempo, bass movement, arrangement and surrounding production are rebuilt as melodic drum & bass. Because the two versions share the same song underneath, I can match them together in a set and let the familiar melody and vocal carry the listener across the genre change.
How I use the two versions
- House into DnB: start from the melodic-house original, then move into the VIP while the shared melody and vocals preserve continuity.
- DnB into house: reverse the relationship and use the original to bring the set back toward a four-on-the-floor house groove.
- A recognizable anchor: even when the rhythm and tempo change, the listener can still hear the identity of all I need is you.
- A real DJ tool: the VIP was produced for practical use in my own sets, not simply as a faster alternate master.
That is originally why I produced it. The drum & bass version slaps, and the relationship between the two tracks makes the transition useful in both directions. Now I’m releasing my VIP of the Fulminate collaboration so other DJs can use it in their own sets—and so everyone else can hear the song hit from a completely different angle.
Pre-save all I need is you (VIP), view the countdown and add the release to your calendar. To hear the other half of the transition, listen to the original melodic-house version.
August 5, 2026 — A listener’s guide to the current Given Peace catalog

Drum & bass
anything4u is cinematic drum & bass: a beautifully composed orchestral build opens into a genuinely heavy drop. It also reached No. 52 on Hypeddit’s Drum & Bass Top 100.
all I wanna takes a headier route. Its rumbling bassline, immersive low-end movement and experimental-leaning production place it outside a polished pop-DnB formula.
