A personal tribute
Oliver Tree was one of my favorite artists. His creativity, fearlessness and refusal to be anyone but himself have always inspired me.
I made this remix of “Miss You” as a tribute to one of my favorite songs by a legendary artist.
About the remix
This version pushes “Miss You” into a faster club framework without losing the emotional pull of the vocal. The production runs at 140 BPM with a four-on-the-floor kick pattern, but its shuffle, speed and rhythmic detail put it closer to UK garage than conventional house.
The arrangement uses the original vocal as its emotional anchor, then rebuilds the surrounding track with new drums, bass movement and club-focused dynamics. The result sits between high-speed house and 4x4 UKG: direct enough for a dance floor, textured enough for garage sets and intentionally different from the original record.
The audio-reactive visualizer
The visualizer was built around the music itself. A moving spectrogram exposes the track's frequency content while reactive equalizer bars follow the changing energy of the remix. The treatment uses the physical Given Peace peace-symbol artwork rather than a generic generated logo, keeping the video connected to the project's real visual identity.
